With busy young children and a love of nature, the owners of this home wanted a garden to use as an outdoor living room.

 

To create a multi-purpose space that could accommodate lawn for the children and family dog, a garden, pool and entertaining area, we started by installing retaining walls to maximise usable space. From there, drainage issues were addressed and then the design began to take shape.

 

The sheltered alfresco area connects with indoor living areas, making it easy for the family to dine outdoors every day. The final touch is a pair of Indian doors, which form a key focal point in the garden and serve as a daily reminder of the family’s many travels to India.
